Lindsey Simmons graduated summa cum laude from Missouri Valley College in 2010 with a degree in history and English. She went on to pursue an MA in creative writing from the University of South Dakota and a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School. Lindsey is an associate at Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen, & Hamilton in New York, New York, and her practice focuses on litigation. In her present role,
Lindsey has drafted a motion to vacate sentence for the state district court, drafted a motion to dismiss for federal court, prepared European witnesses for the Department of Justice interviews and questioning, and she has represented an Air Force veteran before the Air Force Review Board. She has been published in The Banking Law Journal. Prior to this, Lindsey worked as a legal fellow for Senator Claire McCaskill, a litigation law clerk for the Missouri Attorney General’s Office, a summer associate at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen, & Katz, a legislative assistant for Representative Rory Ellinger, and served as an intern in the Representative Joe Aull and Congressman Ike Skelton. Lindsey currently resides in New York, New York.
