Theatre Ensemble Presenting ‘The Comedia Robin Hood’
The MVC Theatre Ensemble is proud to present, The Commedia Robin Hood, by Lane Riosley on October 19 and again October 26-28. A merry troupe of players — Columbine, Arlequin, Punchin, and Rosetta and others — tackle, tumble, trick, and trip their way through the tale of Robin Hood with fantastic abandon. Get ready for action-packed clowning with puppets, stilts, singing, patter verse, and mock combat in this unforgettable adaptation.
The production features Gabriel Boatmad as the crafty Arlequin who demands to play the role of Robin Hood, Sophie Cott as the passionately sassy Columbine, Liz McDonald as the wiley Rosetta, and Colin Williams as the egotistical Punchin. Rounding out the ensemble are Noel Nunn-Faron, Margaret Meyer, Daniel Ripley as swings, and Rachel Mapes as stage manager. The production is directed and designed by Professor of Theatre, Harold Hynick.
Performances will take place at 7:30 p.m. in the Eckilson-Mabee Theatre on Thursday, October, 19 and Thursday, Friday, & Saturday October 26-28. Admission is free to this family -friendly production.
