Spring Student Research Symposium Set For May 1
A record number of students will share their academic, creative and professional work at the spring 2023 Missouri Valley College Student Research Symposium on May 1 in the Malcolm Center for Student Life. This all-day event is free and open to the public.
More than 100 MVC students across all academic majors will present at the bi-annual event which provides a platform for students to showcase academic, creative and professional work.
“The spring Symposium is always extra exciting because we have so many graduating seniors who present their senior thesis research or capstone projects,” said Claire Schmidt, co-chair of the Student Research Symposium. “Getting to see four years of growth and practice come to fruition is a great experience for faculty, as well as for our student presenters and audience members.”
The Student Research Symposium is sponsored by the Missouri Valley College Office of Academic Affairs, the MVC Office of the President, Alpha Chi, the Division of Business, the Division of Communications, Humanities and Human Services, the Division of Education, the Division of Fine Arts, the MVC Honors Program, the MACC Program, the Division on Math and Sciences, MVC Libraries, the School of Nursing, the Division of Social Sciences and the Division of Health Sciences.
