SPRING MVC STUDENT RESEARCH SYMPOSIUM SET FOR APRIL 26
Missouri Valley College students across all academic divisions will have the opportunity to share their academic, creative and professional work in the spring 2021 Missouri Valley College Student Research Symposium on April 26, 2021.
MVC students may submit a proposal to present academic work including original research, reviews, scholarly essays, creative writing, performance, film or original artwork. Submissions are due by March 29.
“We can’t wait to see all of the great work our students have been creating over the past academic year,” said Jennifer Livengood, associate professor of psychology. “Although the symposium may look a little different this year, we’re excited to provide this opportunity for social academic connection for students, faculty, and staff!” Livengood co-chairs the Symposium with Claire Schmidt, associate professor of English.
Awards will be presented for Excellence in Student Research for Best Presentation, Best Creative Work, Best Poster, and Best Graduate Presentation.
Masks and social distancing will be required and the event will follow MVC spectator policies. Additional guidelines for participants and visitors will be updated in mid-April.
The Student Research Symposium is sponsored by the Missouri Valley College Office of Academic Affairs, the MVC Office of the President, Alpha Chi, the Division of Business, the Division of Communications, Humanities and Human Services, the Division of Education, the Division of Fine Arts, the MVC Honors Program, the MACC Program, the Division on Math and Sciences, MVC Libraries, the School of Nursing, the Division of Social Sciences and the Division of Health Sciences.
