Purple Patch Issues Call for Student Submissions
The Purple Patch team at Missouri Valley College came together Sept. 2 to officially release Volume XXIII of the college’s literary journal, and to celebrate those who contributed to the last edition. Now that the new academic year has progressed, the team once more puts out a call for submissions from authors and artists who are interested in being published in the next edition of The Purple Patch.
Dr. Claire Schmidt, faculty advisor, encourages new students to submit their work for publication. “We’re so excited to see the creativity of our new freshmen and transfer students! This is a way to leave a legacy!” she said.
“We are excited to review and publish all different types of student submissions this year,” Alexandrea Sutter, the co-Editor in Chief, has said, We hope you will share your writing and art with the campus community.”
The 24th edition will be accepting fiction, poetry, artworks/photography, creative nonfiction, and academic prose. Please submit work as a doc., pdf., or jpg. to purplepatch@moval.edu. The submission deadline is March 15.
Please direct any questions to the email above; Dr. Schmidt at schmidtc@moval.edu; or the Managing Editor at ronsleyg@moval.edu.
