New Members of Sigma Tau Delta Inducted at MVC

Six new members were inducted into the Nu Epsilon Chapter of Sigma Tau Delta during the fall 2021 semester. The induction ceremony was a celebration of the high academic achievement of new members. It encouraged continued involvement of all members and recognized the special camaraderie of Sigma Tau Delta members everywhere. 

“We are happy to see new members join our Chapter of Sigma Tau Delta. Thanks to our candidates and teachers for support. I hope to see more good pieces of writing and literature in the future,” said Senior On Yuen Got, historian of Missouri Valley College’s Nu Epsilon Chapter of Sigma Tau Delta. 

“It was a good experience for me, because I can feel the warm welcome from the old members,” said Eva Agcaoili, a new member of Missouri Valley College’s Nu Epsilon Chapter of Sigma Tau Delta. 

The induction ceremony was conducted by Dr. Claire Schmidt, Dr. Jennifer Justice, and Kelley Fuemmeler. 

Sigma Tau Delta is an International English Honor Society that was founded in 1924. The Nu Epsilon chapter at MVC offers induction ceremonies each fall semester. The Sigma Tau Delta honor society is open to students with a minimum 3.5 GPA pursuing a major or minor in literature, composition, or other related fields.
