The Missouri Valley College School of Nursing recently donated personal protective equipment (PPE) that it had on hand to Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall as the hospital continues to help in the fight against Covid-19. PPE that was donated included gowns, masks and hair and shoe covers.

Because MVC nursing students will not be doing in-house simulations for the remainder of the school year, the MVC School of Nursing was able to make this donation.

“The staff at Missouri Valley College School of Nursing support our local hospitals in taking all measures to protect health care workers against the virus, COVID-19,” said Dr. Peggy Van Dyke, dean of the MVC School of Nursing. “As supporters of this community, it is important to help health care providers in their fight against this pandemic. A special thank you goes out to all the staff at Fitzgibbon Hospital who go above and beyond to help keep this community safe.”

Dr. Van Dyke encourages everyone to follow the advice of experts in infectious diseases who are addressing the pandemic.
