MVC SCHOOL OF NURSING ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR MASTER OF SCIENCE IN NURSING, FAMILY NURSE PRACTITIONER PROGRAM
Missouri Valley College’s School of Nursing is now accepting applications for its Master of Science in Nursing with focus on Family Nurse Practitioner (MSN FNP) online program. MVC received approval from the Higher Learning Commission to offer this program, which will begin January 2021. The program application deadline is December 1, 2020.
To apply, students must hold a current unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse (RN) in the United States and its territories, have a BSN with a minimum of “B” in all nursing courses/clinicals and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale). For additional info, visit moval.edu.
The MSN FNP online program prepares RNs to work in a more advanced role within the medical field. The program builds on the baccalaureate level of nursing through advanced course work and clinical practicums. This increased knowledge and clinical expertise promotes the critical thinking and problem solving skills necessary to provide health care to diverse populations in a variety of clinical settings and communities.
In addition to the newly approved MSN program, the MVC School of Nursing offers a traditional Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program, a Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) to BSN face-to face program and a LPN to BSN online track.
