MVC Prepares for 12th Annual Maastricht Institute of Entrepreneurship

The 12th annual Maastricht Institute of Entrepreneurship at Missouri Valley College will take place April 9-11 in the Bacon Conference Center inside the Malcolm Center on the MVC campus. The 2018 institute is sponsored by Wood & Huston Bank.

This year’s speakers  include: Meghan Pruitt, partner & co-founder, Level+, TEAM Inc., Portland, Oregon; Troy Willard, founder & CEO, Can Shed LLC, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Marc Finney ’15, founder, Finney Aerial Photo, Bucklin, Missouri; Sasha Devic ’13, founder & CEO, Seven Dimensions, Zurich, Switzerland; Drew Soloman, senior vice president of Economic Development Corporation of  Kansas City, Missouri; Tyson Hunt, Andrew Sharp & Judson Ball, co-founders, Logboat Brewing Co., Columbia, Missouri; Karrie Dean, founder & CEO, Happy Habitat, Kansas City, Missouri; Jerry Glazier, consultant & trainer, OND and previous V.P. of Sprint human relations, Kansas City, Missouri; and Dr. Benoit Wesly, chairman & CEO, The Xelat Group, Maastricht, The Netherlands.

The Maastricht Institute is named after the city of Maastricht, the Netherlands, and is an outgrowth of experiences and friendships among residents of Maastricht and several cities in the United States.

The goal of the Maastricht Institute is to foster an atmosphere of receptiveness and creativity toward comparative entrepreneurial processes. The institute compares and contrasts the entrepreneurial business environment within the United States with that of other countries, highlighting domestic and international philosophies.

The institute’s format includes lectures, seminars and round-table discussions.
