MVC Debate and Forensics Team Competes in International Parliamentary Debate

The Missouri Valley College Debate and Forensics team competed in International Parliamentary Debate at a tournament hosted by Abilene Christian University.  

Eva Agcaoili (Junior, Willard, MO) went 3-3 and finished in 12th place overall.  Cuauhtemoc Olvera (Freshman, Snyder, TX) went 4-2 and advanced to elimination debates where he lost a close debate on a 2-1 decision.  Olvera tied for 4th overall.  Also competing in the debate was Sha Wilson (Freshman, Snyder, TX). 

“The entire team continues to improve and work hard,” said Head Coach David Bowers. “Going into the second semester with some momentum on our side to finish out the season strong is an incredibly powerful thing.”
