Missouri Valley College to Host Outdoor Concerts
The MVC Repertory Dance Ensemble, MVC Choir and members of the community are working together to perform two outdoor concerts that will take place behind Blosser Hall, located at 828 East Eastwood Street in Marshall, Missouri.
Missouri Valley College and members of the local community came together for a project that will bring everyone together for a group performance. With limited group rehearsals, the hope is that everyone involved will experience something real and honest that will unfold in front of the audience.
“It’s been a wonderful experience working intergenerationally, collaboratively and in the beautiful outdoor environment. We can’t wait to see what happens and to share it with an audience,” said Janie Morgan, associate professor of dance.
The first outdoor concert will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 27 and the second will take place on Thursday, September 28, also beginning 6:30 p.m. Street parking will be available for those attending the concerts and concert attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs and picnic baskets.
Both concerts are free and open to the public. Transportation will be provided for MVC students in need of a ride, students should meet at the columns by 6 p.m. Please direct any questions regarding these concerts to Janie Morgan at morganj@moval.edu.
