An endowment is a college’s financial cornerstone – the core of its ability to fuel progress in academic programs, scholarship, and teaching. Allowing an institution to be less dependent on unpredictable sources of revenue, endowments ensure that promising programs, individuals, and initiatives have the continual support they need to take the intellectual risks that can pay off in monumental leaps in knowledge.

Since 1889, in some capacity, Baity Hall has served every student on campus. Many of the College’s original residence halls, Murrell Library, and other facilities still serve MVC students today. By supporting our facilities, you will continue to preserve the history of campus.

A gift-in-kind is a tangible, non-monetary contribution of goods or services which provides budget relief. From real estate to vehicles, contact the Office of Institutional Advancement to discuss gift-in-kind opportunities.

Gift-in-Kind form

For most farmers or farm owners, making an in-kind charitable contribution to Missouri Valley College—rather than a cash contribution—can increase the tax benefit of the gift. It can be an easy process to provide gifts of grain to MVC this harvest season. These gifts can be in the form of grain just harvested or grain taken from storage and delivered to the elevator. There are some simple steps to consider if you would like to make a gift of grain to MVC.

Often times, the gap between the amount of money in scholarships, grants and loans, becomes a burden to our students and their families, and ultimately, forces them to put their education on hold—sometimes periodically, but too often permanently. The Guardian Fund, an endowed scholarship program, exists to help bridge the gap in the amount in which a student is responsible, and will allow them to more affordably have the opportunity to obtain a baccalaureate degree.

Endowed scholarships have benefited thousands of students for hundreds of years. You may choose to support an existing scholarship, the Guardian Fund, or endow a new scholarship (minimum required).
