Theatre

The art of theatre serves as a mirror in which we can examine and reflect on what it means to be human. As a reflection of humanity, it touches on all aspects of life and helps us gain insight into all fields of study. By participating in theatre, you will grow in empathy, communication, collaboration, creativity, and self-confidence.

Why a degree in Theatre from Missouri Valley?

At Missouri Valley College, you will find yourself at home in an intimate environment that puts the focus on you as a developing artist. You will be challenged to exceed your expectations in the classroom, the studio, and on the stage. Our supportive faculty will be at your side to mentor you along the way as you find and develop your artistic voice. You can choose to participate in our Theatre Ensemble as either a performer, or in a variety of backstage positions such as sound, costumes, lighting, and scenery. Or, you might choose to perform with the MVC Flatliners Improv Troupe and present shows and workshops throughout the region. You can also participate on the marketing and management side. Regardless of your area of interest, we have opportunities waiting for you.
