Missouri Valley College’s ENACTUS Chapter will host the 14th annual Ethics in Action luncheon. The luncheon, held in collaboration with the Marshall Chamber of Commerce, honors a local business that displays ethical practices in day-to-day operations. The event will be held March 22 in the Malcolm Center Bacon Room on the MVC Campus.

This year, Pastor and Mrs. Charles Stephenson of the Powerhouse Ministries will be honored. For over 10 years Pastor Stephenson has been counseling individuals and families suffering from drug addictions and as founder of PCDC he has developed multiple social programs: Fresh Start (housing program), Power of HOPE (addiction recovery), Youth Power (city wide youth program); Fathers Committed to Families, Fitness Center and most recently a community center. Pastor Stephenson has created partnerships with numerous agencies and faith-based organization to collaborate to bring healing, deliverance and salvation to the community at large to fulfill God’s great humanitarian commission.

Last year’s honoree, Dr. Dan Fahnestock, will present the Stephensons with the award and Marshall Chamber President Becky McBride will be the keynote speaker.

The Ethics in Action luncheon in designed to honor a local business who has a proven track record of ethical behavior. Any citizen is able to nominate a local business. MVC’s ENACTUS organization chooses the winner each year.
