School of Nursing Now Accepting Applications

The Missouri Valley College School of Nursing is now accepting applications for the 2017-18 academic year. The deadline for application is April 1, 2017.  A total of 21 students may be accepted into the program each year.

MVC’s  School of Nursing offers a path to a BSN degree that is structured as a 2+2 program consisting of two years of core/prerequisite courses and two years of nursing courses and clinical experiences. The School of Nursing educates and trains students in providing safe, evidence-based, and compassionate nursing care to complex patients in diverse settings. This program lays the foundation for delivering nursing care to individuals, families, and diverse populations. Students gain nursing experience in a variety of clinical settings such as local community hospitals, tertiary care centers, and other community health centers/agencies.

“Students at Missouri Valley College School of Nursing are mentored by experienced faculty that assist them in developing new skills,” said School of Nursing Dean Peggy Van Dyke. “Students will develop leadership, collaboration and teamwork skills, as well as use of best practices and promoting respect for cultural and socio-economic diversity while advancing health practices.”
