Viking Rodeo Continues Action at CNFR on Day Two

The Missouri Valley College rodeo teams continued competition at the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, Wyo., Wednesday evening in Casper, Wyo.

 

On the men’s side Sophomore Dalton Kingery (Monroe, Iowa) moved up from day one in saddle bronc riding and sits at No. 10.  Kingery also sits at No. 33 in bareback riding.  In steer wrestling Freshman JD Struxness (Appleton, Minn.) jumped up over twenty positions and now sits at No. 4 in the standings while Freshman Fenton Nelson (Iowa City, Iowa) moved to No. 40 in the competition.  Also for MVC Sophomore Coleman Rude (Silver Lake, Ind.) is tied for No. 10 and Sophomore Travis Smith (West Plains, Mo.) is No. 25 in bull riding while Senior Ben Runyon (Tallula, Ill.) is No. 29 in team roping.

 

For the women’s team, Junior Kacey Struxness (Appleton, Minn.) moved up into the top 10 to sit at No. 7 and Junior Twyla Reid (Albion, Ill.) improved to No. 17 in breakaway roping.  

 

As a team the men’s side moved up twenty spots from the first day to sit at No. 19 in the standings while the women’s team is No. 32.

 

The CNFR takes place continues tonight with the second performance at the Casper Events Center and continues through Saturday.
