MVC Student-Athletes Receive NAIA Scholar Athlete Honors

MVC STUDENT-ATHLETES RECEIVE NAIA SCHOLAR ATHLETE HONOR

 

Marshall, Mo. (May 29, 2014)- The NAIA has announced the 2014 Spring Daktronics NAIA Scholar Athletes.  To be eligible for this honor student-athletes must be nominated by their institution’s head coach, must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status in the classroom.

 

Missouri Valley College had seven student-athletes achieve this honor;

Brent Kalwei (Sr., Kansas City, Mo.)-Baseball

Fanny Bertalan (Jr., Lyon, France)-Women’s Track & Field

Sarah Niemeier (Jr., Lohne, Germany)-Women’s Track and Field

Juan Gimenez (Sr., Barcelona, Spain)-Men’s Tennis

Brock Hughes (Sr., Gilford, Ontario)-Men’s Tennis

Wesley Ng (Sr., Brampton, Ontario)-Men’s Tennis

Virginia Hutcherson (Sr., Marshall, Mo.)-Women’s Tennis
