MVC's Clarissa Molina Continues Play at NAIA National Golf ChampionshipPosted May 21, 2014
Marshall, Mo. (May 21, 2014)- Missouri Valley College women’s golfer Freshman Clarissa continued her play at the NAIA Women’s Golf National Championship at Wilderness Ridge Golf Club in Lincoln, Neb., Wednesday with the second round.
Molina went into round two with a +17 (89) in the first round on Tuesday which put her at No. 119 overall in the individual standings. Molina, first women’s golfer in program history to compete at the NAIA National Championship, shot a +13 (85) in the second round which included her first two birdies of the tournament.
Following the second round, Molina sits with a total score of +30 (174). She also moved up the individual standings and is now No. 107.
Molina will begin her third round Thursday morning. A cut will be administered after the completion of the third round.
