Marshall, Mo. (April 1, 2014)-  Fort Worth, Texas, native Kyle Hickey has signed a letter-of-intent to play men’s basketball at Missouri Valley College beginning with the 2014-2015 season.

Hickey, from South Hills (Texas) High School, has been an award-winning basketball player during his high school career.  He has been named to both the all-district first and second team, named the school MVP and was a member of the Tarrant County Super Team.

“I am very excited about Kyle coming to play for us at Missouri Valley,” says Head Men’s Basketball Coach Chad Lance.  “Kyle has shown the ability to be the type of player that can help our program continue to improve, and go in the direction we want it to go in the future.”

The MVC men’s basketball program is led by Head Coach Chad Lance who recently wrapped up season No. 11 leading the Vikings.  During the past season Lance broke the all-time wins record for the program as a head coach, amassing 158 victories.

Hickey plans to major in nursing at Missouri Valley College and is the son of Thomas & Andrea Hickey of Fort Worth, Texas
