MVC Tennis Teams Extend Winning Streaks with Wins Over Baker

 Marshall, Mo. (April 5, 2014)- The Missouri Valley College tennis teams hosted went on the road to Baldwin City, Kan., to open Heart of America Athletic Conference play against Baker University.


The MVC men’s team swept Baker, winning 9-0 in matches, while the women’s team defeated Baker 6-3. The win pushed the men’s team to 11-1 on the season while the women’s team moved to 10-2. Both teams improved to 1-0 in HAAC play. The men’s team has now won 11 in a row and the women’s team has won nine-straight.

 The women’s tennis teams are scheduled to be in action again Friday playing in Springfield, Mo., at Evangel University.  The men's team will next play against No. 14 Graceland University April 13 on the road.
