MVC Tennis Teams Continue Winning Steaks After Beating Ottawa

Marshall, Mo. (March 30, 2014)- The Missouri Valley College tennis teams hosted Ottawa University at Indian Foothills Park Sunday afternoon, and both were able to extend their winning streaks with victories.


Both the Viking men’s and women’s teams defeated Ottawa by 8-1 scores in matches.


The men’s team, which is in the “others receiving votes” category of the NAIA Men’s Tennis Coaches’ Top 25 Poll, moved to 9-1 on the season, and moved its winning streak to nine-straight. The women’s team has now won seven-straight matchups and is 8-2 on the season.


Both the men’s and women’s tennis teams will next play home matches Tuesday hosting Westminster College. Matches are scheduled to start at 4 p.m. at Indian Foothills Park.
