MVC Tennis Knocks off Johnson County C.C. Wednesday

Marshall, Mo. (March 26, 2014)- The Missouri Valley College tennis teams hosted Johnson County Community College in the first home matches of the season Wednesday at Indian Foothills Park. The men’s team swept JCCC 9-0 in matches, while the women’s team came away with a 7-2 victory.


The men’s team, which is in the “others receiving votes” category of the NAIA Men’s Tennis Coaches’ Top 25 Poll, moved to 6-1 on the season, and moved its winning streak to six-straight. The women’s team won its fourth-straight matchup and is now 5-2 on the season.


Both the men’s and women’s tennis teams will play matches in Des Moines, Iowa against both Grand View University and St. Ambrose University Saturday.
