Marshall, Mo. (March 4, 2014)- The Missouri Valley College men’s tennis remains just outside the second regular season edition of the NAIA Men’s Tennis Coaches’ Top 25 Poll. The Vikings are in the poll’s “others receiving votes” category where they have been located since the preseason.

The Vikings have played just once since the start of the season. Saturday the Vikings traveled to Lincoln, Neb., to play No. 15 Bethany (Kan.) College. The Vikings were defeated 8-1 in matches and have a record of 0-1. Due to weather conditions, the Vikings will not play again until traveling to Hilton Head, S.C., Mar. 9-14. Both the MVC men’s and women’s tennis teams will play five opponents during the week. The first home event for the program is scheduled for Mar. 25, hosting Johnson County Community College at the Indian Foothills tennis courts.
