MVC Men's Volleyball Stays at No. 9 in Latest Poll

Marshall, Mo. (February 25, 2014)- The Missouri Valley College men’s volleyball team lost its only match last week, but remained ranked in the latest NAIA Men’s Volleyball Top 10 Poll at No. 9.


The lone match for the Vikings was at home against No. 4 Missouri Baptist University.  The Spartans defeated the Vikings 25-21, 25-21, 25-18.  The loss dropped MVC to 13-6 on the season and 2-1 in the NAIA South.


The Vikings will play five matches this week, including a rematch with No. 4 Missouri Baptist in St. Louis, Mo., Tuesday at 7 p.m.  The Vikings will return to Missouri Baptist for the Spartan Invitational Friday and Saturday.  MVC will play No. 7 St. Ambrose University and Emmanuel College Friday, followed up with matches against Cardinal Stritch University and Graceland University Saturday.
