MVC Men's Volleyball Remains Ranked No. 9

 Marshall, Mo. (February 17, 2014)- The Missouri Valley College men’s volleyball team finished with a 5-0 record this week. Missouri Valley remains at their ranking of No. 9 in the latest NAIA Men’s Volleyball Top 10 Poll released Monday.


The Vikings started a busy week with a 3-1 win over Graceland University. MVC also had four matches this week in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at the Stritch Invitational. The Vikings won their first match against Lakeland by a score of 3-1. In the second match, MVC defeated Lourdes University by a 3-1 score. MVC went on to beat Robert Morris by a 3-2 score followed by a 3-0 win over Cardinal Stritch.  The Vikings are now 12-5 on the season following the successful week.


The Vikings will host No. 4 ranked Missouri Baptist tomorrow night in their only game of the week.  The junior varsity game begins at 5 p.m., with the varsity match following at 7 p.m.
