Two Viking Volleyball Players Earn NAIA Honors

Marshall, Mo. (February 17, 2014)- Two Missouri Valley College men’s volleyball players have earned honors from the NAIA for their performances in matches last week.  Senior Setter Will McCracken (Goleta, Calif.) was named the NAIA Men’s Volleyball Setter of the Week and Sophomore Libero Ding Hui (Zhejiang, China) was named the NAIA Men’s Volleyball Libero of the Week for helping MVC to a 5-0 record in matches.


McCracken dished out 11.9 assists per set, along with 1.2 kills per game and 1.4 digs per set.  His best match was against Robert Morris University where he finished with 62 assists, seven digs, six kills and four blocks in the 3-2 MVC win. 


Hui averaged four digs per set and only committed one passing error on 102 attempts for a 99 passing percentage.  His best match came against Robert Morris when Hui finished with 25 digs and one service received in 26 attempts. 


The Vikings have a record of 12-5 and continue their season with a home game tomorrow night at 7 against No. 4 Missouri Baptist.
