VIKING FOOTBALL ANNOUNCES 2014 RECRUITING CLASS

Marshall, Mo. (February 5, 2014)- The Missouri Valley College football program announces today its 2014 recruiting class. In all the Vikings have 48 student-athletes that have made the commitment to play at MVC beginning with the 2014 football season. Of those 48 recruits, 33 come from high schools in Missouri.

“We are very excited about everyone coming to Missouri Valley and wanting to be a part of our program,” said Recruiting Coordinator and Offensive Coordinator Aaron Christensen. “This is a good class of kids, and we look forward to them getting on campus and contributing to the team.”

“The coaching staff worked really hard this season to put together such a solid class,” said Head Coach Paul Troth. “The group of kids coming in this fall will help continue the tradition of Viking football.”

The Vikings finished the 2014 season with a 9-3 record, claiming its third-straight Heart of America Athletic Conference championship, advancing to the NAIA Football Championship Series quarterfinals and finishing the season as the No. 7 ranked team in the NAIA Football Coaches’ Postseason Top 25 Poll.
