MVC Women's Wrestling Has Two Competing in Minnesota

Marshall, Mo. (December 20, 2013)- The No. 9 Missouri Valley College women’s wrestling team sent two members to the Minnesota Storm Holiday Cup in Rochester, Minn., Friday.


At 121 pounds, No. 2 Jacarra Winchester (San Leandro, Calif.) took first place in the free style competition with two victories over Whitney Conder of WCAP. Winchester win by 8-4 and 15-6 decision. Winchester will compete Saturday in Greco-Roman wrestling Saturday.


Also, Freshman Paulina Biega (Gizycko, Poland) competed in the free style competition at 105 pounds, but finished second, losing both matches to Victoria Anthony of Sunkist Wrestling by a first period pin and a 10- decision. Biega will compete Saturday in Greco-Roman wrestling.
