MVC Student-Athletes Receive NAIA Scholar Athlete Honor

MVC STUDENT-ATHLETES RECEIVE NAIA SCHOLAR ATHLETE HONOR

 Marshall, Mo. (December 20, 2013)- The NAIA has announced the 2013 Fall Daktronics NAIA Scholar Athletes.  To be eligible for this honor student-athletes must be nominated by their institution’s head coach, must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status in the classroom.

 

Missouri Valley College had 16 student-athletes achieve this honor;

Chase Burgess (Sr., Lamar, Mo.)-Men’s Cross Country

Sarah Niemeier (Jr., Lohne, Germany)-Women’s Cross Country

Phillip Fowler (Sr., San Diego, Calif.)-Football

Josh Wells (Sr., Kent, England)-Men’s Soccer

Erikka Diarte (Sr., Stockton, Calif.)-Women’s Soccer

Lucia Martin Calvo-Garcia (Jr., Toledo, Spain)-Women’s Soccer

Kelsey Hieb (Sr., St. Peters, Mo.)-Women’s Soccer

Colleen Husmann (Sr., O’Fallon, Mo.)-Women’s Soccer

Breann Kinworthy (Sr., St. Charles, Mo.)-Women’s Soccer
